I used to go to the hairsalon and spend hundreds of dollars to have my hair done but I soon learned how to handle it and to do my hair myself. I'm so happy to have found the courage to do it because I've been scared for a long time now because of how much hair I have. It was difficult at first but now it has became an amazin and money saving experience for me. This is my blog for hair update every months... Different hairstyles for different experiences ...

TUESDAY MOVIES!!

Tuesday is the movies day so I went there to have an idea of what kind of movie we're gonna have this year!! Me and my friend watched 2 movies: ''Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters'' and ''Parker'' with the sooo sexy Jason Statham.

This is just funny. Basically when I went to the movies with my friend we were supposed to watch ''Parker'' since we're both in love with Jason Statham loool but it was supposed to be at 18h55 and we arrived at 19h10!! The guy at the door sold us the ticket for 22h15 instead of 18h55 and when we noticed sitting in the supposed room that we weren't watching the right movie because it wasn't the right time..... Damn we had 2 choices.. Wait until 22h15 to watch ''Parker'' or go watch another movie... And that's how I found myself buying 2 tickets for Hansel & Gretel for 19h55 and it turned out extremely satisfying; I loved the movie probably even more than I expected and even more than the movie I was dying to watch because of the man of my dreaaaammssss. ''Parker'' was good as well but ''Hansel & Gretel'' really held my breath and heated me up!!

Let me tell you: Hansel & Gretel rocks... That movie is just SICK!! It's really worth your money and trust me if you love the whole witches, ancient times, vampires and sophisticated weapons thing in movies then you'll be tripping. The action, the special effects, the actors, the scenario, the story everything is on point and it keeps you waiting for more, to see more. I really enjoyed it and maybe i'll give it another round on internet streaming ^^

Big guns, sorceress, mystery, fear everything is there. You just need to sit back, relax and get into the action and guess what: It's in 3D!!! Even more fun!! Gun's bullets flying on the screen like it's gonna blow right on your face and everything's going on to make you feel like you're the one beating the witch!! That's just crazy. This is the first time I go to the movies since the beginning of the new year and I was extremely satisfied.

Now on to ''Parker''

Jason Statham is sure a sex symbol and too sexy for me!! His performance in the movie were clean as usual and he's without any doubt one of the best actors in Hollywood. If you love action, fighting, blood shed and thieving then this movie is for you!! Jason Statham pretty much plays the same kind of character and if you watched and loved some of his previous movies, you're gonna love this one.

He's a tough and passionate character but a very dangerous thief who can kill you without hesitation if he really wants to kill you and I guess that's what maked J-Lo fall in love with him in the movie!! He's betrayed by his partners at the beginning of the movie but at the end his vengeance leaves them a very bad taste in their mouth: the taste of death.

Yeah I know.. He's sexy but hey we can still dream huh it's not forbidden!!
Overall the movie was great and worth watching. No less expected from our actor who's used to play strong and tough characters but Hansel & Gretel was the best of my night even if Jason Statham was a gorgeous sight!!

Culture's diversity: Tribal body painting

From military training to entertainment, body painting have been used for any kind of purposes, but have we ever taken a look at the tribal aspect of the body painting? Cultural or traditionnal, body painting through different ethnicities, have his own signification.

Let's start with the KARO gathering in the Omo Valley, Ethiopia.
They use charcoal, chalk, ochre and pulverized mineral rock to create a variety of different colours which include orange, white, black, yellow and red. They use vibrant designs to accentuate fine facial features and enhance their graceful movements. Their body painting help them differenciate themselves from neighbouring tribes.

This is a Karo girl, also from Ethiopia. This painting is one of a kind and it's considered a great art.

This is a Nuba man, from Sudan. I can't really explain the painting because there's not much article about it, but it's very beautifull and we can see a lot of details on the painting.

The Andamanese tribe is one the earliest native African tribe and the first inhabitants of India. They're facing a possible extinction, but they're the first black African who inhabited the Asian territory before the arrival of the Mongolians.

This is a Masaï warrior from kenya. His body painting is pretty similar with that of a Samburu warrior, since they both live in Kenya, but I don't know if they're tribe's neighbour.

Karo's girls in Ethiopia put their body painting themselves, just like women put on their make-up.
It's a personnal beauty standard that each one of them chooses, and we can see a variety of different painting on every single girls.

Now this is a tribe I've been extremely curious about: the Wodaabe.
Contrarily to the beauty standard of women putting make-up on, in the Wodaabe tribe, it's men who put make-up on, and participate to beauty pageant. They put their make-up on by themselves by making sure they accentuate their facial features, and at the end of the pageant, the winner is choosen based on the facial painting, the white teeth, and how well you rolled your eyes. No one wants to see a bad facial painting so after every rounds because of the dust, they have to re-do their make-up because someone with a bad make-up can become the laughing stock of the audience.

This is a boy from the Surma tribe. in Ethiopia. Body painting is something they have developped to attrack more tourist to their village because they understood the importance of the body painting impact in the photography art, and that they would be more interesting to shot.

This is a couple of other pictures I've seen some of them fromEthiopia, and the others, from all around Africa.

Body painting is a very important cultural aspect in some tribes and as we saw, Ethiopians are the one who practice it the most even if it's also practiced in some other countries. It also represents a beauty standard for some women and the traditionnal aspect of the body painting is actually what we should really be looking at.

The Bonner Bros hair show: Everything you can put on someone' s head

I don't know if some of you have ever heard of the Bonner Bros hair show in the USA... It's actually the craziest hair show you will ever see in your life. It's just everywhere. From tires to eyelashes to cup cakes and even birds; Those are the ingredient of the competition to win the award of the craziest hairstyle. The first time I heard of it was in <Good hair>, Chris Rock's movie about people perming their 6 years old daughters, Indian shaving their hair in sacrifice to their god... Hair that will very soon be sold in America and seen on Kim Kardashian's head!! Yeah basically all kind of stuff related to hair treatment!! I have a couple of images of what the Bonner Bros hair show is about.. I was blaaah I when I saw some of the pictures andthis probably isn't the half of what is going on there....

I don't what in the world is this but one thing's for sure it's gonna take as much time as it took to put it on to remove it. I'm still wondering is it steel or some kind of plastic??

Now this is just crazy... Isn't this the type of hairstyle you usually see on a woman?? Dude looks serious with that... America is a crazy place.. Just hope he's paid enough to carry this because for someone's manhood.. It's a big misunderstanding..

Now I don't know what is crazy anymore.. The hairstyle itself or the person carrying it... This is some big time crazy hair and only God knows how long it took to make it..

Sponge bob square pants also got invited to event.. How crazier can it be?

This thing is massive... Just hope it didn't break her neck!! Can you really carry this??

Would've been surprising if there was no tire in this whole hair thing.. Gosh this is out of this world!!

I'm wondering if she really had to place her hands like that the whole time to keep the hair from falling...

Ok my tongue is tied I'm out comments.

This year's show promise to be even crazier that the previous editions... But how crazier can it be? Art is sometimes misunderstood!!

The most effective acné treatment: Proactiv Solution

PROactiv SOLUTION

We all know acné is the biggest skin problem men and women encounter in their lives and it's sometimes very hard to find a product that will work against all those buttons. I remember a couple of years ago I was so bothered by all this acné on my face that I tried every single product I was seeing at the drugstore. Only God knows how much money I spent on acné products. Then last year I saw proactiv on TV with all those people telling how much Proactiv is effective, how they feels happier with a more beautifull skin and stuff like that... I wasn't sure I mean the pictures of those people before and after were way too good to be true so I didn't really paid attention to that. The problem quickly caught me up and then I found myself again staring at the mirror and asking myself what am I gonna do with that!!? Then it brought me back to the Proactiv system I saw on TV and before buying any product I always check the reviews. So I went ahead and looked for some reviews about Proactiv on youtube and I can tell it really motivated me to try it, so I DID!!!
Let me tell you that thing works.... For a tough and difficult skin like mine to be able to fall under the effect  of an acné product, the product might just be as tough as my skin is... I bought the 2months supply kit and I started using it. After 2 weeks the results were pretty noticable and then I continued!! My skin isn't 100% perfect but just what I see right now is very satisfying for me and I needed to share it with you!!

This is what the 2 months Proactiv kit looks like,

And this is mine at home

It's not so big and honestly you don't need too much of that because the 2 months supply kit is only a try-out-and-decide kit. You can also get it with the deep cleansing brush that you see right underneath here.

This is the deep cleansing Brush,

And this is mine at home

And trust me for a good result, you're gonna need this brush because using your fingers to rub the product on your face is the basic way but you'll only clean the surface so that the sebum and everything is deeper than the surface. Once you turn the brush on, the vibration will help the fibers open up the pores and clean deep inside your skin. If after washing your face thouroughly when showering, during the use of the product and the brush on your face you see some dirt of the color of your foundation liking out of the brush, don't be surprised because the brush is truly cleaning everything you face had under the skin. I was surprised too but it turned out like that. Same for the tonic (product 2). A cotton ball or a coton pad should be used to apply it and when rubbing your face with the tonic if you see dirt residues and stuff, the tonic is also doing his job of removing all the sebum the cleaner and the brush brought to the surface.
Not everyone have the same type of skin so it might not work on yours like it worked on mine. But as tough as my skin was, I praise Proactiv for this product because long time ago I gave up because I was'nt able to find a good acné treatment that will really work on my skin.

Proactiv is a very good product and it can work on all kind of skins but there are two things that you need to look out for:

1- It dries out skin.

On the package it's recommended to use it twice a day but I quickly reduced it to once a day because it was drying my skin out. I have a very oily skin and some of you too probably, so just go with watever you think is good for you.

2- It bleaches material

Yeah watch out for the kind of material you'll use on your face after cleaning it with Proactiv. A towell is good and not gonna bleach but if its another material then be very carefull. It's not as rough as Javel but it still bleaches material other than towels.

Appart from the effectiveness, one thing that I also love about Proactiv is the smell... Yeah it smells GREAT!! We all have different tastes for sure but it really smells great.
Once again, it might not work on some of you because we have different types of skin but it did changes the thing for me. I'm not gonna lyie to you; your skin is not gonna become 100% perfect like no buttons no nothing like a baby skin cauz no acné treatment does that. But with this one you'll see a difference and it will be satisfying enough. The advertising always shows white folks and stuff so it somes to a point were people ask: Does it work on black skin?

Yeah it does

Because in two weeks, I went from this...

To this...

I'm really happy with the result and this is the first time I've tried something like this.

There's the Proactiv website for Canada and USA were you can order it. You can have extra products bonus but what I've disliked a lot from my experience with the Proactiv website is that:

1- My order shipped after 3 weeks and I waited 1 month to get it.

2- They will take money on your credit card randomly because they charged my credit card twice for the same item twice and the second time it was more expensive than the original amount of money I spent to get the kit. Once you enter your credit card number in their website they will charge it and you'll just see money disappearing from your account to proactiv.com.

I remember 2 weeks after I've ordered I received a mail saying that Proactiv tried to take 29.00$ on my credit card.. I was like wooww.. I didn't even receive the kit I've ordered 2 weeks ago and they're already trying to take more money on my card? I called them to figure out what was that about but they couldn't even answer me. That was just crazy. After that I decided not to buy it there anymore. And you too should not because when you go on the internet to see reviews about purchases done on Proactiv.com,  99% of the complains are about the charges done on the credit card randomly and without permission. Once they have your credit card number, they will charge it like you've been paying three times the price of the item you've ordered. The product is good but the service is crap.So it's up to you to decide; if you want your kit fast to start using it as soon as possible, I suggest you follow the link on the slide image on top of the page to Amazon.com to buy it there. But if you don't mind waiting a whole month to get your kit, and having your credit card charged randomly not even two weeks after you ordered and not even received the damn kit, then you can go on the Proactiv website to order it. It's cheaper there but it depends on how badly you wanna try it and if you are patient enough to wait 1 month for something you badly wanna try. ^^

This said, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to leave it as a comment here and I'll answer you ^^
